Class ACT Tutoring, LLC is a tutoring business in North Carolina focusing on students from 1st grade to college in NC Common Core Math Standards & Language Arts. Class ACT Tutoring services the North Carolina Triangle Area. Math areas of focus include AFM, Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, General Math (Elementary & Middle School), Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. Our Language Arts Tutoring covers, but not limited to, AP English, College Essays, English, Expository Writing, Fiction Writing, Hand Writing, Literary Analysis, Persuasive Writing, Phonics, Proof Reading, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Writing. Our mission is to provide customized one on one instruction focusing on improving academic performance along with helping students gain confidence, master skills, and acquire the proper study habits to be successful in their math and language arts courses while building the foundation necessary to enter college in any Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) fields of study.

OWNER

The owner of the business, Cindy Yokley Edwards, earned her Master of Science in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.  She has worked in the field of Electrical Engineering for over 20 years.  Her passion is helping others be successful and particularly in the STEM fields.  She tutored Math and Computer Science courses while in college.  She has done volunteer math tutoring in the Union Baptist Church ACademic Enrichment (ACE) program for 5 years prior to launching Class ACT Tutoring. She has also taught Math 1, 2, and Math 3.  She left Corporate America to focus on her passion, tutoring math for all students.  With that in mind, she focuses on helping students develop a strong grasp of the foundational concepts in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry and Trigonometry, while also fostering strong study habits and routines that help students grow in confidence and the routines of “how to study”.  A strong foundation in math is not only required but absolutely essential to have success in the STEM fields as many rigorous math and science classes will be ahead for STEM majors.
